Here is the step-by-step transformation of the fabric used for your bag, from the woodblock to the finished product.
Step 1: The Impression
An artisan in a sunlit workshop applies a carved teak wood block, previously dipped in natural dye, onto the natural cotton fabric. You can see the precise, manual pressure required to transfer the intricate floral pattern.
Step 2: Sun and Setting
After the fabric is printed, it is moved to an outdoor courtyard. The bright sun—essential to the process—dries the fabric naturally, chemically bonding the dye to the fibers to ensure lasting color.
